David Prouts Jets
Hurricane jets are something of a rare sight these days, Apart from the set at Folly Farm & Henry Danters set, They are now a rare sight.
So for anyone who remembers the days of Charles Thurstons or John Scarrotts sets, Then a trip to Welland Steam Rally once a year is a real treat, you can fly your own plane on David Prout's Hurricane Jets and sit back and remember those days.
Oh to see the ride with the old original 'rocket' style cars, and the name of 'DEAKINS' on there once again! Remember being able to lie down flat and control them with your feet.
I remeber the hiss of Thurstons jets !!! i could lay in bed as a child and here them hissing and i live a few miles from mthe ground. And when you was on the ground the noise was just fantastic!!!!!!
do not forget the lifting set of botton bros at great yarmouth would love to know wot happend to them
